100% Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign Program had a total cost of Rs. 33,44,600. which was fully funded by Sahyog Society and aditya birla fundation.The program was implemented between 1 nov 2021 to 31 april 2022.
Objectives
The primary objective of the campaign was to ensure 100% Covid vaccination in the entire population of CHC uska bazar siddharth nagar, ensuring both doses to all the identified persons. The campaign also aimed to ensure data quality, monitoring, and support when needed to community volunteers, community health workers, and data operators identified at the community level. Additionally, the campaign aimed to conduct micro-planning for setting up camps in coordination with stakeholders.
Methodology
The campaign involved the participation of 01 District Coordinator, 110 Community Volunteers, 11 CHW+, 110 CV, 100, 17 ANM's, and 20 FLWS & CHC Doctors, Nurses & CHO's. The campaign began with a micro-planning exercise with the health team at CHC level. The micro-planning exercise involved identifying the target population for vaccination, identifying vaccination camps' locations, identifying community volunteers and health workers, and identifying transportation arrangements for vulnerable populations.
Once the micro-planning exercise was completed, the campaign began organizing camps for vaccination. A total of 126 camps were organized, providing vaccinations to the identified population. The campaign also used vehicles to transport old age and physically challenged persons to reach the vaccination camp. The community volunteers played a critical role in conducting household surveys, calling people during the camp, and helping to organize camps at the local level.
Results
The campaign successfully achieved all its objectives. The campaign ensured 100% Covid vaccination in the entire population of CHC uska bazar siddharth nagar, ensuring both doses to all the identified persons. The campaign also ensured data quality by monitoring and supporting community volunteers, community health workers, and data operators identified at the community level. The campaign successfully organized 126 camps for vaccination and used vehicles for old age & physically challenged persons to reach the vaccination camp.
In conclusion, the 100% Vaccination Campaign for Covid-19 conducted by Sahyog Society for Participatory Rural Development and Vinod Kumar Prajapati (Secretary, Swabhiman Samiti) was successful in achieving its objectives. The campaign demonstrated the importance of community participation in ensuring the success of vaccination campaigns, and the critical role of micro-planning in organizing such campaigns. The campaign can serve as a model for other organizations and communities to follow in their efforts to combat Covid-19.
