Introduction:
In a significant initiative aimed at promoting physical education, Swabhiman Samiti in the collaboration with ELMS Sports Foundation, distributed essential sports equipment to 50 pre-secondary schools. This includes 32 schools in Uska Bazar block and 18 in Lotan block, including Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Uska Bazar.

Objective:
The main objective of this initiative was to enhance the physical education facilities in pre-secondary schools and encourage physical activity among students. The distribution of sports material aims to:

  • Improve sports infrastructure in schools.
  • Promote physical education and sports activities among students.
  • Encourage students to engage in physical activities alongside their academic pursuits.

 

Sports Material Distributed:
Each school received the following sports equipment:

  • 2 Footballs
  • 2 Volleyballs
  • 15 Cones
  • 15 Domes
  • 18 Bibs
  • 1 Air Pump
  • 1 Whistle
  • 1 Stopwatch

These items are intended to support a variety of sports and physical activities, facilitating organized games and training for the students.

Distribution Event:
The distribution of sports materials was carried out with the presence of key figures from the local education sector:

  • Vinod Kumar Prajapati, Secretary of Swabhiman Samiti, handed over the materials during the event, emphasizing the importance of physical education.
  • Mr. Mahendra Kumar, Block Education Officer, was also present and officially handed over the equipment, reinforcing the significance of sports in students’ overall development.

During the event, Mr. Mahendra Kumar addressed the students, highlighting that playing sports is as crucial as academic studies for their physical and mental development.

Key Participants:

  • Mamta Verma, Project Manager of Swabhiman Samiti, played a key role in organizing the event and ensuring the successful distribution of materials.
  • Nisha Singh, Warden of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Uska Bazar, and the teachers from all the participating schools also attended the event.
  • The presence of students, teachers, and community members further added to the success of the initiative.

Conclusion:
The distribution of sports materials in 50 pre-secondary schools is an important step towards promoting physical education and sports among students. The initiative, supported by ELMS Sports Foundation, will help improve sports facilities and encourage students to participate in physical activities. The collaborative effort between Swabhiman Samiti, the Block Education Officer, and local schools will go a long way in fostering a balanced development for students.
