Swabhiman Samiti organized an awareness programme on 10 December 2025 in Kathha Village to mark International Human Rights Day. The session was led by Mrs. Mamta Verma, Chairperson of Swabhiman Samiti, who highlighted the global significance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), adopted by the United Nations on 10 December 1948. She also emphasized the importance of this year’s theme, which focuses on upholding constitutional values to protect human dignity and rights.

The programme witnessed 150+ participants, including women, adolescent girls, and community members, who actively engaged in discussions and shared their experiences related to rights, equality, and social challenges.

The session also provided information on important helpline services, including Women Helpline (1090) and Child Helpline (1098), to ensure access to support in cases of violence or distress.

Interactive discussions encouraged participants to relate these issues to their daily lives and understand how constitutional rights empower them to take action against injustice and discrimination.
