Project Chhalaang, implemented from September 2023 to March 2025 across 50 UPS and composite schools in Siddharthnagar district, is a transformative initiative aimed at integrating physical education and social-emotional learning (SEL) into rural classrooms. Supported by ELMS Sports Foundation, the project promotes holistic child development, with a strong focus on gender inclusion, leadership, and community participation. Operating in Uska Bazar and Lotan blocks, Project Chhalaang creates structured opportunities for children to engage in play, teamwork, and reflection, while also empowering teachers and volunteers to sustain a culture of movement, confidence, and social cohesion within school communities.
This Annual Reflection Report presents the progress, learnings, and outcomes of the Kishori Sashaktikaran Pariyojna (KSP) implemented by Swabhiman Samiti in Uska Bazar Block, Siddharthnagar District under the DMA Grant for the period 1 February 2024 to 31 January 2025. The project aimed to empower adolescent girls through structured group formation, capacity building, and community engagement. With a focus on gender equality, health, and rights-based awareness, KSP created safe spaces for dialogue, leadership, and collective action. This report captures key achievements, challenges faced, and strategic efforts taken to promote adolescent empowerment in rural Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
