Introduction

Swabhiman Samiti, in collaboration with e-vidyaloka Bangalore, has been successfully running the empowerED program across 21 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) in Siddharthnagar and Maharajganj districts. The program aims to provide high-quality digital education, helping young girls gain valuable new skills and preparing them for success in academics and beyond.

Objectives

This initiative is designed to empower adolescent girls by giving them access to quality education and experiences that build their confidence, enhance their skills, and enable them to excel in a digital learning environment.

Participation and Activities

• Two students from KGBV Bhanwapur have been selected to participate in the prestigious EDGA Program in Bangalore.

• The students will attend a seminar from February 20 to 22, representing their district and sharing their personal experiences, as well as the transformative impact of digital education.

• Their participation highlights the program’s ability to foster leadership and encourage young girls to take on challenging roles in educational and social settings.

Services and Support Provided

• Comprehensive Travel and Accommodation Support:
e-vidyaloka has ensured all travel arrangements, including air tickets, accommodation, and meals, so the students and their accompanying staff can focus entirely on their learning experience.

• Mentorship and Guidance:
The students will be accompanied by Class Assistant Shefali Vardhan and Field Coordinator Bavi Kumar, who will help them prepare and make the most of their participation.
