Teacher Training Workshop Under Project Chhalang
Introduction:
Swabhiman Samiti organized a one-day teacher training workshop under the Project Chhalang initiative. The event was held at the Lotan Block Resource Center, Siddharthnagar, and saw the participation of physical education teachers from 18 government upper primary schools. This training aimed to empower educators with innovative strategies to enhance their students’ physical fitness and overall well-being.
Objectives:
The workshop’s main goal was to equip teachers with practical tools and knowledge to implement engaging physical activities and promote a culture of fitness and health in their schools.
Participation and Activities:
1. Introduction and Inauguration:
• The event was inaugurated by Ashok Kumar, Block Education Officer, who encouraged teachers to integrate innovative methods into their teaching.
• Vinod Kumar Prajapati, Secretary of Swabhiman Samiti, gave a brief overview of the organization’s work and the objectives of Project Chhalang.
2. Training Content:
• Mamta Verma, Project Manager and lead trainer, conducted detailed sessions on organizing effective physical activities and games.
• Hands-on activities included warm-ups, “Catch the Football,” “Adla Badli,” “Traffic Signal,” and “Tali Relay Race.”
• Rahul from Gadhmarwa UPS and Mr. Jitendra from Netwar demonstrated key activities, providing useful tips and engaging the participants.
3. Participation and Interaction:
• The workshop was attended by 28 educators, including Subhash Sahni, Mr. Manoj, and Ms. Sushmita, making it a dynamic and collaborative event.




Impact and Outcomes:
The workshop successfully provided participants with practical skills and innovative ideas for promoting physical activity among students. By the end of the session, educators were better equipped to foster an active and healthy learning environment. The interactive nature of the training ensured that teachers left with enthusiasm and a renewed sense of purpose, ready to inspire their students and create positive change in their schools.
