Krishak Club Program – Orientation and Capacity Building
In the year 2010-11, Swabhiman Samiti, with the support of Purvanchal Gramin Bank and NABARD, established 52 Krishak Clubs across Khadda and Nebua Naurangiya blocks in Kushinagar district. These clubs were officially approved by the Regional Office of NABARD in Lucknow. The initiative aimed at building the capacity of the farmers, empowering them, and facilitating their access to various government schemes and financial services.
The main objectives of the Krishak Club Program were:
To ensure that the Krishak Club members understood the purpose, goals, and responsibilities of the clubs, 16 orientation meetings were held at the grassroots level. These meetings served as a platform to introduce farmers to banking services, government schemes, and other relevant agricultural support services.

The Krishak Club Program organized by Swabhiman Samiti, in collaboration with Purvanchal Gramin Bank and NABARD, successfully linked farmers to banking services and government schemes, ensuring better access to financial support, knowledge, and training. This program not only helped empower farmers but also facilitated collaboration between financial institutions, government agencies, and the local farming community, leading to improved agricultural practices and better livelihoods for the farmers involved.
Swabhiman Samiti continues to focus on farmers’ welfare and community development by creating more platforms like Krishak Clubs to help farmers lead better and more sustainable lives.
