Introduction:
The Kishori Balika Milan Samaroh (Adolescent Girls’ Gathering) was successfully concluded at the Swabhiman Samiti Office, marking the end of a week-long celebration of International Girl Child Day. From October 11th to 17th, Swabhiman Samiti organized various activities, including meetings and discussions with adolescent girls from surrounding villages, culminating in the Milan Samaroh event.

Program Overview:
The program began with an engaging drawing competition for the adolescent girls, where they showcased their creativity. This was followed by the main event, where Dr. Preeti Shukla, the Medical Officer at Community Health Center Uska Bazar, addressed the girls. In her speech, Dr. Shukla encouraged the girls to study with focus and also emphasized the importance of playing sports. She highlighted that success comes with hard work and determination. Additionally, she stressed that knowing and asserting one’s rights would help prevent discrimination and exploitation.

  • Vinod Prajapati, Secretary of Swabhiman Samiti, and Mamta Verma, President of Swabhiman Samiti, also addressed the gathering, motivating the girls to continue striving for their dreams and to take active steps towards personal growth and empowerment.
  • Dr. Preeti Shukla also awarded prizes to the top three winners of the drawing competition:
    • 1st Prize: Manisha Chaudhary
    • 2nd Prize: Amesha Nishad
    • 3rd Prize: Sadhna Bharti
