Dry Ration and Sanitizer Distribution Report During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Introduction:
Swabhiman Samiti, in collaboration with the Y P Foundation, distributed dry ration and sanitation kits to 173 extremely poor and helpless families in 7 villages of Uska Bazar, Siddharthnagar during the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative aimed to provide essential food and hygiene supplies to families affected by the pandemic, ensuring their well-being during a time of crisis.
Objective:
The primary objective of this distribution program was to offer immediate relief to the vulnerable communities, ensuring they had access to essential food items and hygiene products. In addition, the program aimed to spread awareness about the COVID-19 pandemic and encourage vaccination.
Items Distributed:
Each of the 173 families received a dry ration and sanitation kit, which included:
- 10 kg Samba Mansuri Rice
- 5 kg Flour (Atta)
- 1 kg Tur Dal (Toor Dal)
- 2 liters Bull Kolhu Oil
- 100 grams Turmeric Powder
- 1 kg Tata Salt
- 4 Lifebuoy Soaps
- 0.5 kg Wheel Washing Powder
- 2 Leaf Paracetamol Tablets
- 2 Mask Kits
These items were selected to meet the essential needs of the families, providing nutritional support and hygiene products to help prevent the spread of the virus.
Event Overview:
The relief distribution was inaugurated by Dr. Avinash Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent of Community Health Center Uska Bazar, and Krishna Mohan Pandey, BCPM of National Health Mission. During the event, Dr. Chaudhary educated the attendees on preventive measures against COVID-19 and emphasized the importance of vaccination.

- Inauguration and Awareness Session: Dr. Avinash Chaudhary delivered a detailed talk on COVID-19 prevention, discussing essential hygiene practices, social distancing, and the significance of vaccination.

- Mamta Verma, the coordinator of Y P Foundation, explained the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people’s livelihoods and highlighted the foundation’s efforts to support 173 families during this difficult time.
