Breaking Barriers: How Four Women Became Leaders Through the ‘Shirir Apna Adhikar Apna’ Program
Introduction:
In Uska Bazaar block of Siddharthnagar district, four young women—Sambhavati, Suman, Roshni, and Poonam—embarked on a life-changing journey through the ‘Shirir Apna Adhikar Apna’ program, supported by the Y.P. Foundation. Trapped by societal norms, these women had little freedom to make personal decisions or explore their potential. Their participation in this program transformed their lives, instilling confidence and enabling them to emerge as leaders within their community.
The Challenge:

- The women were not allowed to leave their homes without parental supervision.
- Their families viewed them as incapable of managing responsibilities, restricting their personal growth.
- Hesitation in Communication:
